Give me a break!
Since we are talking about Morocco Blogs, the first thing that comes to mind is Morocco & Moroccans. I believe the awards should rather go to the native Moroccans and not to the aliens (hey, they call us aliens too in USA) who come to Fes to spend his/her vacation/retirement while blogging about Morocco. And believe it or not, but the time this person is done with his vacation in Morocco, he will end up writing a nice book about Morocco on our expense. As you can see, you are not only awarding him/her about his hobby he tends to enjoy, but he/she will make a fortune by using our own resources.
I don’t think this is faire at all. These people come to Morocco with enough capital stashed in their Banks while living on the cheap in our country, of course they have the time & resources to write all day long about Morocco. These people have what it takes to write a million dollars Blog, no doubts about that. But, do you call that a challenge?
Please note, I see awards categories such as Best Morocco News Blog, Best Personal blog
and Best Morocco Travel Blog, but I didn’t see Best Moroccan Social Networking Blog which are few of them out there and even made by real native Moroccans, take a look:
You ought to give awards to our own NATIVE Moroccan youths who are eager to excel despite the fact they don’t have lots of resources or capital to get there, yet, they do their best. These are the people who deserve the awards, and not someone by the name Smith who does this for fun while he has enough capital stashed at the Bank of Fes. Give me a break!
Reda B.(Moroccan first)
Reda,
The awards were open to any blog submitted. As you can see looking at the site, we include a number of blogs by Moroccan nationals in our reviews. Since English is the first language of the internet, our reviews have primarily been about English language blogs, but we’ve hired Moroccan translators to translate those blogs not in English so that they also become more accessible.
If we had called them the Moroccan Social Network awards, we certainly would have included your social network as it looks good, by the way, to leave four of the same comments under different names is considered spamming the comments section, and usually, leaving a link in the comment itself is considered spam too since we offer a link to the name of the person who leaves the comment.
As to millionaires and foreign reitirees, we don’t judge blogs by their owners but by their content. In fact, we offer free blogs to anyone who wants one and we don’t do an income check. In the future, I think you will find that interacting in a positive way works better than interacting in a negative one. I’ve included your spammish links as a courtesy, but I suggest you read up a bit about net etiquette.
All the best,
Vago
