Morocco Travel Tips from the Students at the ALC in Fes #1

My class at the American Language Center in Fes was terribly excited to have the opportunity to present travel advice to potential visitors of their city. Once again, I gave them the choice of me posting their work to or and they overwhelmingly chose Morocco Blogs. It seems that the students and many of their families already know and like this site and so this is where they want their work to be seen.

This series will showcase their advice to visitors of their city in Fes, Morocco. All work is published with the permission and consent of the authors.

Dear Visitor,

I am so excited that you are going to visit Fes. It’s cool. Fes is one of the oldest cities in Morocco and it is known as the ‘Spiritual Capital’. All visitors who come to Fes should make a point to visit the old medina. There you can find many shops and merchants who sell souvenirs. The streets in the old medina are very cramped and there are lots of traditional houses and restaurants who serve traditional Moroccan food.

You should try our harira and the tagines. You’ll love them.

You can also visit the new city of Fes. It’s clean and there are many places you can sightsee and take pictures such as the beautiful fountains, statues, and avenues of Hassan II and Mohammad V.

Fes is very cheap, so don’t worry about money and if you want, maybe I can be your guide.

You aren’t going to regret visiting Fes.
